Dodge made a great thing when it added the 717 hp Hellcat V8 to the range. In theory, having that much oomph for about $60,000 sounds like anyone that bought a Ferrari or a Lamborghini for power just took a stupid decision. In reality though, things are not that cool.
Yeah, the Challenger or the Charger Hellcat will flip the bird in the face of most other sportscars, but put it against the wrong machine and you’ll see it’s not the king of the strip. Reason why you’ve seen videos where they have to crawl back in hell after getting beat up by a Tesla Model S or some other exotic supercar.

Good thing a SRT Hellcat owner just made this incredibly funny Youtube video to explain other possessors how not to look like fools. Thus, he created 7 holy rules anyone driving such a car should respect.

It all starts with the red key fob, which should always be used by the driver and not the standard black one. Few might know, that all the 717 horsies come only when you start the car with the red fob. Otherwise you only get around 500. Make it your mantra, don’t take the black key, even if you don’t need all the power, because the car’s settings will let you play with that.

I’ll let you watch the video below and discover the rest of the rules by yourself.
