Funny Insurance Ad Has More Crashes than a Blockbuster Movie

Funny Crash in Dutch Ad 1 photo

People have been taking autonomous driving extremely serious lately so it was only a matter of time until somebody decided to treat the mater in a... well... less than serious manner. Case in point with the Dutch commercial we’re bringing you today, which shows how self-driving cars can cause city crash mayhem. A funny one that is.
Imagine you get in the back seat of your brand new Golf Sportsvan and ask it to take you to work. Along the way, everybody watches you in amazement and, while they are doing so, the cars, bicycles or, simply, dogs around them, continue to move, only without any form of supervision.

Thus, the Golf manages to “cause” just about any kind of urban crash you can think of. OK, perhaps some of you are more evil and could imagine some extra terrible stuff, but let’s keep things clean, shall we?

The clip comes from Centraal Beheer, part of Achmea, the largest insurance company in the Netherlands. So what do we learn from here? One good lesson would be that you should never try to mess with the insurance people. These guys are creative, or at least have money to spend on creative ideas and whatever scenario you can imagine, they can think of something twice as deep.

Spoiler: among others, you should be OK with partial nudity, and not necessarily the eye-pleasing stuff, before you hit the "play" button below.
