Hooray, small- and medium-displacement KTMs get sport versions next year, KTM CEO Stefan Pierer told Cycle News in a recent interview.
Pierer added that the new bikes will share the same platform with the existing naked ones, and they will be introduced at the EICMA show in Milan, Italy, next November. The look of the sport ones will be derived from the Moto3 Grand Prix racing bike and will be different from the base models, as KTM is looking forward to create and expand a very strong family of such machines.

The RC 390 is scheduled for the beginning of 2014, followed by the RC 125 and RC 200 later in April. These two will be also used as the basis of a new worldwide KTM race series.

KTM's CEO also added a new bike between the 200 and 390 is being readied in order to "offer a complete range of models to suit every customer, so they have no possible reason not to buy a KTM." Pierer declared that KTM has growth rates over 500 per cent in Asia and 3-digit figures in South America, so they're decided to push things even further.

The attached pictures are renderings of how the future RC390 could look like, so nothing official there, yet.
