People have a strong obsession with carbon fiber. In the automotive world, this material is famous for its weight-saving properties that can shave valuable seconds of a car’s lap times. There are modern day supercars like the Aventador that use this for most of the body and in F1 it’s also used for the suspension.
However, carbon fiber can also substitute for style, not just performance. Just about any old Peugeot or Opel out there has gotten a fake carbon hood wrap. In the case of these fine Ferraris, a Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale and a 430 Scuderia 16M Spider, we’re afraid it’s still a case of style over substance.
