The PD5XX wide body kit from Prior Design has been around for quite some time now but even so, this frozen blue model seems to have something special in its sleeve. Care to guess what? Well, it’s not what but who. Somehow, this beautiful girl ended up posing with it and we’re more than glad she did.
As for the car itself, Prior Design has a more radical approach than what BMW did in the first place and that’s only expected from a tuner. After all, that’s why they exist and that’s why we go to them when our car isn’t satisfying enough.

The focus was on the exterior, without a doubt. The stock car received a full body kit that includes a new front bumper, a new rear one with a central diffuser made of carbon fiber, new side skirts, wider fenders and a big spoiler on the boot in the back (also made of carbon fiber).

The frozen blue finish is a nice touch, nonetheless but it wouldn’t strike you as that good looking if it wasn’t for the 22 inch Vossen wheels done in matte gold that are an instant eye catcher.

Prior Design’s Spanish branch (where this thing was put together) claims that this particular car also had its ECU remapped and a new exhaust system from Akrapovic installed. With them, the power output was definitely taken well over the 560 HP and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque that the stock car is claimed to be making. Our guess sits at around the 600 HP mark.

No matter the output, we still love the way it looks. In standard guise, the M5 is subtle, classy machine as they always used to be. Only the afficionados can tell if it’s the real deal or not.

And that’s a shame because thanks to its 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8, this sedan can get up to incredible speeds in no time, with your entire family on board. It’s the perfect sleeper, if you will and that might not work for everyone. Some will want people to know that they have serious grunt under the hood and this is how they plan to let you know.
