Despite the mid-engined Corvette having already receives tons of praise, many car lovers can't help but wonder what would've happened if GM had decided to keep that V8 up front. Well, the rendering sitting before us comes to provide a reasonable answer to this question.
Imagined by digital artist Pedro Ruperto, this pixel work seems to do a great job at taking the lines of the C7 'Vette just far enough for the machine to be considered a new generation.
The young Brazilian transportation and industrial designer hasn't missed the slight Grand Tourer transition between the C7 and the C8 generations, and you can sense this by zooming in on the delicate lines of the car.
It also looks like the pixel master is well aware of all the Internet humor revolving around the similar look of the Corvette and certain Ferrari models. At least that's what you could make out of those taillights, which appear to be rather close to the light clusters adorning the posterior of Maranello's latest hypercar, the SF90 Stradale hybrid.
And that narrow rear window deserves special attention, since its design seems to be deeply embedded into the retro American car culture.

Mixing the iconic lines of the Sant'Agata Bolognese machine with styling cues that define contemporary machines, the rendering is a sight for sore eyes, to say the least.
