From Happy to Angry Face: Toyota Yaris Facelift Leaked

Yeah, the nameplate says Vitz, but that’s how Toyota markets the Yaris in Japan and other Asian regions. It’s the same car with another badge, so if that is getting a new face, chances are high the European Yaris will get it too.

So here we are, about four years after the third generation Toyota Yaris has been launched, the facelifted version leaked in some photos on Jokeforblog. Apparently somebody got his hands on a Japanese brochure overviewing the facelifted model and snapped a few shots at it.

As with most of the Toyota range now, the facelift turns the trapezoidal grille with the narrow part up and transforms the whole front fascia into a more bolder one. Now it really looks like the Vios sedan.

However, the update also adds a reshaped rear bumper, new headlights and stoplights, redesigned alloy rims and a slightly updated dashboard with a new steering wheel and that infotainment system looks suspiciously similar with the one on the new Aygo. It also seems that the Japanese version includes an RS trim, which comes with a different grille mesh, orange paintjob with matching interior stitching and a set of dark alloy rims.

That’s pretty much all these photos reveal, but keep your browsers pointing at us for more info as it will be available.
