The Ural Dark Force comes from a factory far, far away, hidden in the Ural mountains in Russia, probably one of the places where the Force is bent towards the dark side.
Now we're somewhat sorry we didn't make any bets as to whether the Ural Dark Force Limited Edition would be supplied with a lightsaber or not. Ural unveiled this menacing dark machine, and yes, the lightsaber is there as we prophesized.

"Come to the dark side, we have... sidecars! And lightsabers!" should read the galactic commercial posters for this machine. But alas, spreading the news in the solar system is rather futile, as only a handful of such darkened beasts will be available.

And in case you mistook "handful" for the usual marketing blabber that downplays the ultra-exclusive character of a bike concealing the fact that the run is often quite generous... think again. Only 25 Ural Dark Force will be manufactured, making this limited edition a collectors' item from the get-go.

An exclusive black livery and limited edition upgrades are available in the US only

The only bad thing we can say about the Ural Dark Force is that it is only available in the US. No matter how dark you may be underneath the gloomy cape, if you are not a US resident, there's no way you can get hold of the Ural Dark Force.

The bike was upgraded with a high visibility LED headlight and received an all-black trim that includes a blackened engine and black ceramic coated exhausts, but the treats list doesn't end here.

An "enduro bench seat" is also part of the game, so you can carry two more people or android with you. At the back of the sidecar, the Ural Dark Force has a watertight storage space that can accommodate some of your gear. Still, the 2.9 cu ft (82-liter) trunk is not large enough for a dark version of R2D2, so you'll have to make do in other ways.

Finally, the 3' (1 m) extendable lightsaber sits in a special holster on the left outside wall of the sidecar, making it accessible to both the sidecar passenger and those on the motorcycle.

Each of the 25 Ural Dark Force machines can be had for $14,999 excluding tax, license, registration, delivery, set-up, and dealer-installed options.

You'll be putting your money on a 749cc air-cooled boxer that can do 41 hp @ 5500 rpm and 42 lb-ft (57 Nm) @ 4300 rpm, with fuel injection and shaft final drive for the bike only (none for the sidecar). Like all the modern Ural bikes, the Ural Dark Force comes with Sachs suspensions and Brembo calipers.

The Ural Dark Force is a first come, first served affair, so better hurry to call your nearest Ural dealer to reserve yours.
