Frieze Sounds will be held in Randall’s Island Park, Manhattan, New York City where special creations made by artists Keren Cytter, Cally Spooner and Hannah Weinberger will be presented to the audience between May 9 and 12, after a media preview on May 8.

“For the past two years Frieze Sounds has activated the visitor experience beyond my expectations. This year, I wanted to commission artists who use the medium of sound to engage audiences in different ways,” said curator Cecilia Alemani prior to the event.

“The Frieze Sounds program adds another gem to BMW’s decade-old tradition of unique cultural initiatives worldwide,” said the BMW North America CEO himself, Ludwig Willisch.

A fleet of BMW 760Li models will be used for this special event, the range’s top spec model, fitted with a 6-liter V12 engine making 544 HP and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque that is capable of sending the 2.3 ton car to 60 mph from a standstill in just 4.5 seconds.

This isn’t the only cultural event BMW is sponsoring, the blue and white roundel company being known for teaming up with others too, like the Art Basel in Hong Kong, Miami and Basel, the Berlin Gallery Weekend and TEFAF Maastricht.
