Three video files, each telling their own story, were released yesterday by Volkswagen to detail the new Polo model. Well, when we say new, we actually mean slightly updated with some parts from the Golf 7, but we're pretty sure of the million or so people who bought the 6R in Europe since 2009, some will want to see this clips.
We've already talked at length about the exterior, interior and engines of the car, so we're going to focus on the new stuff in this clip. For starters, there's the LED headlights which are supposed to be optional. To be honest, they don't look so hot in the video, even if they are a class first.
The light seems to be generated indirectly, reflected off concave discs instead of through multiple lenses like on the SEAT Leon we tested. Still, they're probably better at providing good visibility than before. Xenon used to be a €800 option on the Polo, which is quite expensive, so it the new model's success depends on what the LED option costs.
Another thing you definitely need to look out for in the video is the infotainment system. The navigation screen is really good and complex and we honestly think it looks superior to the Clio 4's R -Link, and considerably better than MyFord Touch.
