Winner of many awards among which the first place in the 2010AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building, Belgian builder Fred Krugger (definitely not the knife-fingered guy on Elm Street) came up with yet another stunning machine: the Tribute to Japan.
Based on a 1966 Honda CB450 "Black Bomber", the Tribute to Japan is no ordinary cafe-racer. Renowned for his unmistakeable character, Krugger went on with the old CB and aimed for nothing short of perfection: clean, fluid shapes, painstaking attention for the most minute of details and a thing you just don't meet – the front-facing intakes.

Krugger simply rotated the cylinder head 180-degrees and now the dual intakes are receiving a direct stream of air. Thankfully, this is a show bike: otherwise you can figure out how soon it would stop running with all the dirt insects and whatnot sucked into the carbs.

Renegade Wheels provided the outstanding rims, while Fred's underseat silencers with side-facing outlets in the rear cowl are as racey and cool as they could ever be. An extremely pleasant sight to look upon, Fred Krugger's Tribute to Japan left us pondering on the balance between how awesome this bike is and those unearthly intakes.
