Frankfurt Auto Show: Rolls Royce Ghost

Rolls Royce Ghost is currently on the display at the Frankfurt Auto Show, with the car expected to find its first owners in the upcoming months. The car is obviously a very luxurious model, with high quality and exclusive materials raising the final price of Ghost to around 300,000 euros.

Specifically, the new Rolls will be powered by a 6.6-liter V12 twin turbo powerplant that develops a maximum power of 563 hp and 780 Nm of torque. This means the car can jump (literally) from 0 to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds. The maximum speed is 155 mph (250 km/h), obviously electronically limited by the manufacturer for your personal safety.

The engine is connected to an eight-speed automatic ZF gearbox, with the entire system releasing - hold your breath (again literally) - 317 grams of CO2 per kilometer. The fuel consumption goes around 20.8 mpg / 13.6 l/100km.

"200EX is a modern execution of timeless Rolls-Royce elegance, breaking with some areas of tradition but retaining the core values that make our marque unique,"
said Chief Executive Officer Tom Purves. "We expect the more informal design to broaden the appeal of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, attracting people who appreciate its fusion of refinement, new technology and contemporary style."

Other feature highlights include a control center display that can be easily folded and hidden into the dashboard, Head-up Display, visible only to the driver plus satellite navigation, telephone, communication and entertainment functions.

As said, the car is expected to go on sale in the next few months, with prices likely to go into the 200,000 - 300,000 euros range.
