Frankfurt Auto Show: Peugeot RCZ Limited Edition

Starting from tomorrow, September 17, visitors to the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show can pre-order one of the 200 examples of Peugeot RCZ limited edition. According to the French manufacturer, this special version of the compact coupe marks the company’s 200 years of industrial brand name, which will be celebrated next year.

Therefore, the first 200 European customers that can also pre-order a limited edition example on Peugeot’s website, will enjoy “a specific and top of the range product content.” The Limited Edition RCZ is priced in France at 35,500 euros and will be delivered in early 2010, when the new car is launched.

Future owners of such an example will get an attractive equipment package that includes the WIP COM 3D (and the Peugeot Emergency service), the Vision Pack (directional bi-Xenon headlamps, headlamp wash), the Nappa Leather Pack (heated electric leather seats, over-mats), the Easy Motion Pack (front and rear parking assistance), and the alarm, among others.

The car is fitted with a 1.6-liter THP petrol engine that outputs 156 bhp (116 kW) and 240 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and achieves 40.9 mpg (5.75 l/100km) while releasing 159 grams of CO2 per kilometer.

The vehicle’s exterior bodywork is covered with pearlescent white paint, providing a sharp contrast with the roof, covered with real carbon, as are the mirror shells that coordinate with the gloss black of the bumper grille and the brake calipers, the smoked chrome of the wheel arches and the matte black of the 19'' wheels. The interior is finished with top of the range Nappa black leather upholstery.
