Frankfurt Auto Show: Hamman Largo Fiat 500 Abarth

Completing Hamman’s lineup at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show is the Largo Fiat 500, the tuners’ special performance package for the Abarth version of the 500. Judging from data sheet and the pictures, it’s hard to believe that Hamman left any part of the car intact.

Before moving on with the styling and aerodynamic elements, let’s get the performance kit straight. The engine output of the Largo Fiat 500 Abarth now stands at 265 hp at 5,630 rpm and 348 Nm at of torque at 4,200 rpm, helped by a new sport exhaust system which includes an end muffler with four round stainless steel pipes, a pre-muffler with a metal catalyser and a sport manifold.

To keep this power under control, Hamman developed a stable sport brake system consisting of two perforated and internally ventilated brake discs with red 4-piston brake callipers and steel-covered brake tubes.

The car is equipped with 18 inch rims and a special coilover suspension that lowers the ride height by 60 mm. Furthermore, a set of Largo forged matt black anodized wheels shoed in matching tires measuring 215/35 ZR18 or 225/35 ZR18 contribute to the visual impact.

As for the styling and aerodynamic elements, the kit includes a re-designed front skirt with integrated LED-lights, special wing extensions added at the front and the back, new side skirts, and a re-designed tail that features four exhaust end pipes and a diffuser which resembles the Ferrari element.

Moreover, the interior has Hamman written all over, with an aluminum pedal set including foot rests and a door mat set with embroidered Hamman sportive logo also available.

Also displayed in Hamman's booth at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show are the tuners' interpretation of the Ferrari California, and their version of the BMW X6, dubbed Tycoon Evo.
