Another world premiere that took place yesterday at the BMW stand in Frankfurt was the showing of the F15 X5 M50d, a car that, like its brothers, was previously shown online and then put up for display at this major auto show.
This high-performance model came wearing Alpine White and the M Sport kit on the outside, making sure everyone knows it means business. Under the bonnet, the 3-liter, tri-turbo diesel unit develops a BMW record of 381 HP and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque.
The traction is ensured by the xDrive system that makes sure the car reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.3 seconds and has a limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). The average fuel consumption reaches only 6.7 l/100km (35.1 mpg) making this car one of the most efficient in its class.
