Auto journalists will tell you the VW Golf is better built than a SEAT Leon and that the Spanish carmaker doesn't make good cars. But if you want a hot three-door car, do you really care that the plastics are a bit harder?
The Leon SC FR is not a hot hatch in the true sense of the matter, but it's still a nice sporty coupe for a young buyer.

All FR models come standard with 7-inch alloy wheels, LED rear lights, dual-zone climate control, dark tinted rear windows, and FR-specific front- and rear bumpers. You also have a multi-link rear suspension setup, as opposed to the rear torsion beam of less powerful cars.

Since this is a TSI, you get one exhaust pipe on each side and the most powerful petrol engine available in the Leon model range.

The 1.8-liter turbo-four packs 180 PS and 260 Nm of torque (184 lb-ft). You can spec the car with either a manual or a DSG 7-speed double-clutch box. This makes the car both faster (0 to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds) and more economical (7.1 l/100km city compared to 7.7 with the manual).

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
