What makes a good luxury performance sedan? We honestly don't know, since the formula is constantly changing, but it appears to be made up of power, poise and prestige.
The new S8 has all of those plus a bundle of the latest and best Audi technology. These Matrix LED headlights are about as trick as headlight technology can be. This is the biggest change brought about by the 2014 model year facelift, but there are other cosmetic changes as well, like the 3D taillights.

4.0 liters of displacement provide the S8 with 520 PS of pop and bang, enough for 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. But despite having as much power as an older Gallardo, this machine is also capable of 10.1 L/100KM combined, thanks in part to Cylinder on Demand technology, which basically makes this V8 into a 2-liter under lighter loads.

The impression we got in Frankfurt is that the 2014 S8 is a subtle and yet very impressive car that does exactly what it needs to.
