Scheduled to hit the dealerships before the end of the year, the 2014 Range Rover Evoque will feature a number of changes, both improving fuel efficiency and dynamics.
Aside from the minor visual tweaks and new colors to chose from, the most important update for the next-year’s Evoque is represented by the new 9-speed automatic system that will help reduce the fuel consumption by up to 11.4 percent and CO2 emissions by up to 9.5 percent.
Driver assistance capabilities of the new Evoque will be significantly improved, adding Park Exit and Perpendicular Park (because just driving out from your parking spot is too mainstream) almost useless systems and some other useful systems like Closing Vehicle Sensing, Reverse Traffic Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition and Wade Sensing.
The new Land Rover InControlTM system will be offered as an optional, enabling the driver to trigger SOS emergency calls automatically in case of an accident, calling Land Rover Assistance and locate the vehicle is it gets stolen.
Another feature is the possibility to opt for the Torque Vectoring by Braking, which will be available for all powertrains and aid cornering by applying braking force to certain wheels.
