French automaker Renault today rolled out the French prices for the latest Renault Clio facelift, with the cheapest variant to cost 12,800 euros (three-door hatchback, Authentique equipment level). The new Renault Clio, which is available in three- and five-door hatchback bodystyles, as well as Estate and Renault Sport, is expected to go on sale in France on April 23. Or... in June... In fact, Renault is still unsure whether to launch the new Clio in April or in June, as we can observe by reading its press release (see the photo below).
Ignoring this problem, the top Renault Clio will cost no less than 25,600 euros (Renault Sport Luxe trim that includes most available equipment levels).
The new Renault Clio range comes boasts six equipment levels, as it follows: Authentique, Expression, Dynamique, Exception (plus Exception Leather Pack), GT and Renault Sport. In addition, it also includes multiple sportier versions: New Renault Clio GT, plus Cup (available as a limited edition), as well as Trophy and Luxe versions of the Clio Renault Sport.
Overall, the new series will include three diesel and five petrol engines, counting here the new 1.6 16V 128 horsepower petrol unit installed on the GT version.
In essence, the new Renault Clio incorporates multiple features that differentiate it from its predecessors, as it follows: a revised look, "the same dynamic front-end styling cues as those introduced with New Renault Megane", the three aforementioned sport versions plus the Carminat TomTom integrated GPS navigation system, also available as an option of 490 euros.
"The list of equipment is even more extensive than it has been until now. The benefit to the customer in the case of the Exception and Dynamique equipment levels, for example, is €700 and €650 respectively," Renault explained the customer advantages when talking about New Renault Clio pricing.
