Forza Horizon 5 is a highly anticipated title, there’s no doubt about that, and all the speculation that has been swirling around the web lately has certainly fueled all this excitement.
But while Microsoft and Playground Games are trying to remain silent on all details about the next Forza Horizon, tipsters and industry watchers have been discussing one very important tidbit in the last few weeks: the location of the game.
While Forza Horizon 5 was originally expected to take place in Japan, rumor has it that won’t be the case, as the game would actually be set in Mexico.
However, everything was in the rumor stage, with nobody with a solid track in the gaming industry providing a confirmation in this regard.
But a few weeks ago, tipster Jeff Grubb responded to messages on Twitter suggesting Forza Horizon 5 would indeed be set in Mexico, yet the confirmation was provided the past weekend during an Iron Lords podcast. Grubb says Mexico is the location chosen for Forza Horizon 5, so it’s now just a matter of time until Microsoft confirms it too.
Grubb explained in the podcast that he previously received a bunch of fake screenshots claiming Forza would be set in Japan but he didn’t want to look into them and dig a little bit further for additional information. But when more people started talking about Forza Horizon 5 possibly set in Mexico, some of his sources indicated this is indeed the case, confirming the game wouldn’t take place in Japan.
Now the next big question is when exactly Forza Horizon 5 going to be announced. With E3 taking place next week, there’s a good chance Microsoft provides us with a closer look at the game during the show, though it’s still not clear if this is also the moment when the company launches the next Forza or the only thing we’d be getting is a preview or a gameplay video.
