Formula E Holdings has announced plans to host a public demonstration of the brand new all-electric Formula E car in Las Vegas on January 6.
The Spark-Renault SRT_01E single-seater will be showcased at Mandalay Bay, South East Parking Lot, where it will be driven by former Formula One driver Lucas di Grassi.
The event is scheduled to start at 15:15 PST and will be attended by Alejandro Agag, CEO of Formula E, and Wyc Grousbeck, lead owner of Boston Celtics and the electric series’ new investor.
The inaugural Formula E season will commence on September 2014 and will end on June 2015, after ten events held in China, Malaysia, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, the United States, Monaco, Germany and the United Kingdom.
Ten teams will compete in the new series - Venturi Grand Prix, Virgin Racing, Drayson Racing, e.dams, ABT Sportsline, Andretti Autosport, Dragon Racing, China Racing, Super Aguri and Mahindra.
