Formula Drift Star Chris Forsberg to Smoke Silverstone

The 2009 Formula Drift Champion and renown stunt driver Chris Forsberg is to perform in front of the British fans for the first time on September 5, as he will take part in the TRAX event at the Silverstone circuit. Forsberg will demonstrate his high-speed stunts in the TRAX Action Arena, and will go on track alongside European drifters, the JDM Allstars.

The Formula Drift star will show to the fans his world-famous ‘bottle trick’ where he power-slides his car towards a wall at speeds of up to 70 mph, knocking the top off a bottle sticking out from the wall.

Eight people will also have the chance to win a passenger ride with Forsberg, who will take them out in the TRAX Action Arena. Moreover, event-goers can also enjoy demonstrations from Ford driver Paul Swift.

There will also be special displays from various UK car clubs, with over 4500 cars on display, as well as the all-new super-car paddock and 2010 Power & Style Awards which will recognize the best ‘Performance tuned’ and ‘Street style’ cars at the show.

“TRAX is by far the largest performance car show in the UK. Supported by the UK’s bestselling performance car magazines and owners clubs; it’s a fantastic day out for all car enthusiasts! We’ve got some of the best names in the business here this year, and having Chris Forsberg attend TRAX will give fans of drifting a real treat,”
Steve Foster, Events Manager for TRAX said in a release.

Tickets cost £17 in advance, or £20 on the gate. Track time costs £30, with passenger tickets at £10. The entrance for under 14s is free with an accompanying paying adult.
