Ford and Hertz are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the ShelbyHertz GT350-H “Rent-A-Racer.” So they are doing it with another special edition car.
This time, it is called the Shelby GT-H, with the letter H coming from Hertz, the company that specializes in car rental services. The new model will not be available at Ford dealers, and can only be rented at select Hertz locations in airports.

The new special edition model is part of the Hertz Adrenaline Collection, and only 140 cars will be made. Considering the horrors some rental cars go through in some countries, we are curious how many will make it to the end of their service life without being totaled. The Adrenaline Collection from Hertz also includes the Dodge Challenger RT and the Chevrolet Camaro SS.

Each Shelby GT-H comes with a 5.0-liter V8 engine, and is fitted with the Ford Performance Handling Pack, a Ford Performance Cat-back Exhaust with chrome tip, and a “staggered wheel kit.”

In layman’s terms, the latter refers to having different size wheels on the back axle than on the front axle. The wheels themselves are finished in matte black and come with special center caps, while the tires are Michelin Pilot Sport.

Spotting a Shelby GT-H on the road will be easy. First of all, they all have Hertz emblems on the front fenders, a carbon fiber front splitter, a polycarbonate hood with vents, rocker panels with carbon fiber accent plates, and a rear spoiler.

All Shelby GT-H models also come with gold striping, a unique upper and lower grille, and a set of emblems. You will also spot a faux gas cap with the GT-H logo. Mustang aficionados will also notice that the washer nozzles have been relocated.

Every engine has a special plaque on it, as well as a cap kit. Concerning the interior, occupants will notice a dash plaque, a head restraint cover set, special floor mats, and a set of sill plates. All the 140 units will be built in Las Vegas, at the Shelby American facility.
