After seeing a bunch of totally awesome, albeit useless, sports and supercars in Geneva today, we think it's time to take a break and get into the more practical side of the automotive industry.
So leave the gas-guzzling, utterly fast "LamFerratiZeggs" behind for a few minutes, while we introduce you to Ford's new lineup of Tourneo "people-movers". Yeah, it's about those big, lazy cars you can use to take your family out for a picnic.
The smaller Tourneo Courier, which shares the same platform with the Fiesta and the B-Max, is just 4.16 meters long and can carry five people , while the Tourneo Connect can accommodate up to seven people with its 400 mm longer wheelbase. The largest of them all, the Tourneo Custom, comes in two different sizes, with 4.97 or 5.34-meter long wheelbases, and can seat eight or nine people.
Ford is putting a wide selection of petrol and diesel engines on the table for the Tourneo range, starting with the smaller 75 HP 1.5-liter or the 95 HP 1.6-liter engines for the Courier, and ending with the more powerful 155 HP 2.2-liter Duratorq TDCi powerplant for the ultimate Custom version.
The Courier is scheduled for launch in spring 2014, while the Connect is expected to hit dealerships in Q4 2013.
