Ford Motor Co. has announced plans to unveil an all-new concept car at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show scheduled later this month.
The American automaker refrained from revealing any details about this new “global concept” vehicle, so we’ll just have to wait until Asia’s largest auto show opens its doors to the press on April 20. The new concept car won’t be the only Ford vehicle to debut in Shanghai, the Blue Oval also looking to introduce the all-new Mondeo sedan and stage an Asian debut for the Fiesta ST and the CTCC race car.

All told, 23 Ford vehicles will be showcased during the Chinese auto show, as well as several new technologies, including the revolutionary inflatable rear seatbelts and the award winning SYNC with MyFord Touch Mandarin system.

“We are excited to have visitors at Auto Shanghai 2013 come to the Ford display and see for themselves the great products and technologies we are bringing to our customers in China.” said Dave Schoch, president of Ford Asia Pacific. “With the stunning all-new Mondeo and the new Fiesta ST, we’re fulfilling our promise to bring more exciting vehicles to our customers as we remain on track to introduce 15 new models in China by 2015.”

The Shanghai Auto Show takes place from April 21 through 29 at the Shanghai International Exhibition Center. Ford will hold its inaugural press conference on April 20.
