Ford Seemingly Places Safe Bets on All-New F-150 and Bronco Sport for 2021 Sales

We’re not yet well into 2021, and already American automakers are trying to attract the attention of buyers with new lifestyle ad campaigns. Mere hours after the Blue Oval did a play on the “G.O.AT (Go Over Any Terrain)” feature with real goats for the Bronco Sport, the company is also launching the “More Than Tough” 2021 F-150.

Ford has reasons to rejoice these first days of 2021 – its all-electric Mustang Mach-E sport utility and the 2021 F-150 pickup have been selected as the winners of two prestigious accolades: the 2021 North American Utility and Truck of the Year.

With the 2021 F-150 and Bronco Sport turning the first deliveries late last year, the company probably feels it’s high time it pushed the advertising pedal to the metal – and already we can count around four spots for the new “More Than Tough” and “Raised by Goatscampaigns.

As far as we can tell, Ford is hedging its bets on a couple of products with great fan traction. The most important product in the F-Series range is just entering its first full year of sales in its fourteenth iteration, fresh from taking the U.S. pickup market crown for the 44th year in a row.

The smaller Bronco Sport is aiming to impress with its smart SUV characteristics and good all-round off-road capability while also cashing in on the name association with the legendary Bronco, which is also coming sometime this summer in 2-Door and 4-Door versions.

As far as the 2021 F-150 “More Than Tough” campaign is concerned, Ford is enlisting Derrick Jones, better known by his stage name D-Nice (of “Club Quarantine” fame), to help promote both the pickup truck as well as “the social distancing rules and responsibilities toward masking up.”

It's a nice play on D-Nice's innovative response to the new lockdown realities as he set up a virtual dance club from the comfort of his own home for millions of people to enjoy his relentless music mixes, helping everyone cope with loneliness and yearning for meeting with friends and family.

This time around, D-Nice is seen driving to a new gig in the 2021 F-150, which has been outfitted with all the DJ equipment one could dream of. Once there, adhering to all health guidelines, he brings the party to the people via the pickup truck’s Pro Power Onboard outlet used to power up all that equipment.
