Anyone who’s been carefully watching the Blue Oval's developments in strategy clearly noticed the U.S. automaker’s decision to gradually break away from passenger cars in favor of crossover, SUV, and pickup truck bodies. And with every retired model comes a new opportunity to bring another high-rider onto the market.
Last summer, Ford settled the case for the Fusion sedan as the model virtually packed its luggage and checked in to the retirement home of unwanted automobile nameplates. In Europe, the Mondeo has so far survived, but the rumor mill talks about its imminent demise alongside a host of vans – such as the S-Max and Galaxy.

With the discontinuation of the Fusion and the fate of its Mondeo counterpart being uncertain (and clearly leaning towards retirement), there’s ample opportunity to bring to life another high-riding vehicle in their place. Some call it the Mondeo/Fusion Evos; others nicknamed it the Fusion Active.

No matter the nameplate, one thing is for certain – it's almost ready to arrive. The certainty of its impending introduction stems from the recent Chinese leak as well as prototypes being spied on the road.

The world of digital artists hasn’t sat idle, either. And because the regular Evos has already been CGI-ed on more than one occasion, KDesign AG decided to up the stakes on Bēhance with an unofficial take on a possible Evos ST derivative.

Benchmarked against the latest CGI coming from a Spanish publication, we clearly see the resemblance to the leaked prototype seen last December. This time around, we’re also treated to the possible design of the rear end, which is probably inspired by the latest crop of spy shots (embedded in the gallery).

As far as the design is concerned, this being an ST version, there are premium sporty touches all over. The slim headlights, the large grille, and the lower portion of the front fascia get treated to a host of dark/chromed details.

On the side, there’s matching dark wheels and chrome adorning the greenhouse as well as the side sills, with all of them providing great contrast against the bright green paintwork.

At the back, the designer imagined a sporty coupe-SUV look. Mind you, we need to approach this with a grain of salt, as the spied prototypes also showed a couple of odd left and right bulges. Overall, this is a clean design, and one that follows pretty closely the official styling of the Blue Oval.
