Such is the hype surrounding the reinvented Ford Bronco family that we haven’t even seen the first deliveries of the 2-Door and 4-Door models for the 2021 model year, and already the rumor mill runs rampant about the 2022 Bronco.
According to the latest intel, the first examples of the 2021 Bronco will reach their intended customers (most likely in the great-looking First Edition attire) sometime this June, after the Blue Oval allegedly kicks off production on May 3rd.
The company offers an extensive color palette for the 2021MY, including the cool-looking (but sadly exclusive) Lightning Blue that should provide great contrast to the recently showcased Black Onyx First Edition interior. Still, there are many other popular shades that so far haven’t made their way onto the company’s Build & Price online configurator tool.
Fret not, because Mike Levine - Ford’s North American Product Communications manager - has recently taken to social media to preview the arrival of both these new color options as well as a host of special editions. As far as the latter part is concerned, one might just be the rumored Heritage Edition.
On the other hand, we’re also intrigued by the upcoming color choice for the 2022 Bronco, and Levine recently confirmed at least one new shade – a green hue. We have little detail to discuss, because the Ford official only mentioned it’s not going to be the same as the one seen on the Bronco + Filson Wildland Fire Rig concept.
The other piece of valuable information that can be extracted from Mr. Levine’s replies to fans is that we’re talking about a new exterior shade that “will be widely available.” So, at least we know we’re not dealing with yet another exclusive option designed for an upcoming special edition.
Naturally, with new choices that don’t get accompanied by visual clues comes a tendency for the imagination to run wild. That explains why bronco6g.com forum users have already started posting their dream-green configurations, some of which we deemed interesting enough for this material’s associated gallery.
