Typical of the Ford Motor Company, cheaping out on parts and build quality translate to recalls. No fewer than four campaigns affecting 665,154 vehicles were announced, and the largest covers mid- and full-size utility vehicles from the 2018 through 2020 model years.
The SUVs and pickup trucks in question are the Explorer, Expedition, Lincoln Aviator, F-Series Super Duty line, and F-150 workhorse, called back over a seat recliner mechanism that might not perform as intended in the event of a crash. No fewer than 483,325 of the recalled vehicles were sold in the U.S. and federalized territories while the rest are located in Canada and Mexico. According to the Blue Oval, service technicians are to thoroughly inspect the seats and replace the mechanism where required.

Reduced braking performance and overheating are serious issues, posing a safety threat as well. The fix comes down to flushing the brake fluid after replacing the brake calipers and brake lines of the poor-selling subcompact model.

And finally, the 2012 to 2013 Fiesta sold in various provinces of Canada could lose the low beams and daytime running lights while driving. Fuse or battery junction box relay corrosion are to blame. Unless there are corroded fuses, dealers have been instructed to clean these parts and install foam sealant.
