Thailand isn’t the first country you think of when it comes to trucks, let alone customized dune bashers. The TTN Hypersport Ford Ranger Raptor, however, is exactly that. Not only does it feature the front fascia of the F-150 Raptor from the United States, but it also packs humongous wheels and off-road tires.
A lift kit and wider fenders are also in store, along with LEDs in the front bumper and LED signatures for the headlights. Even the tailgate and taillights are modified to resemble the F-150 Raptor, and the truck looks utterly breathtaking.

Fiberglass and polycarbonate are used for the makeover, which is then painted in the customer’s color of choice with utmost attention to detail. Optional extras include retractable running boards, a side-exit exhaust with three pipes, and the list goes on with many wheels. Of course, even the base rigs with the 2.2-liter turbo diesel or the 3.2-liter Duratorq can be converted to F-150 Raptor spec.

Based near the Don Mueang airport in Bangkok, the peeps at TTN Hypersport don’t have a website nor pricing information on their Facebook page. Only yesterday, TTN Hypersport posted an image that suggests they’re working on a stainless-steel front bumper for additional protection when going off the beaten track.

The bumper in question should also be rated for and configured to accept a winch. After all, it’s mandatory equipment for hardcore off-roading enthusiasts.

Ford Thailand Manufacturing builds the Ranger since 2016 while the AutoAlliance Thailand plant goes back to 1998. The Blue Oval has a long history with the Asian country, selling the Model T there in 1913. A joint venture - Thai Motor Company – was brought under the U.S. automaker’s corporate umbrella in 1973.

The mid-size pickup truck starts at 559,000 baht in Thailand while the Ranger Raptor is a mind-boggling 1,699,000 baht. At current exchange rates, make that $18,000 and $54,690 for the workhorse spec and the range-topping model.

A bi-turbo diesel with 2.0 liters of displacement – the EcoBlue – serves as the heart of the Ranger Raptor. Fitted as standard with the 10-speed automatic transmission that Ford offers in the United States version of the Ranger, the Raptor churns out 213 PS (210 horsepower) and 500 Nm (369 pound-feet) of torque.
