This is an important year for the Ford Ranger, with the Blue Oval having introduced a mid-cycle revamp for the mid-size pickup truck sold outside the US.
However, while the facelift may have tried to make the Ranger a more civilized and fun machine, Ford is far from having decided to jump on the convertible offroader bandwagon by offering an open-air incarnation of the Ranger.

Well, if that's the kind of machine you're looking for, perhaps the eBay ad we're here to show you might help. The listing brings us a 2009 Ranger (we're talking about the previous generation of the truck here) that will allow you to enjoy the great outdoors, with the exception of the passenger's side door frame.

Yes, we know, that sounds a bit odd, but it's only because this isn't exactly a drop-top conversion. Instead, the Ranger in question has had an unfortunate encounter with a tree.

The seller was kind enough to provide a full explanation: "Had a tree fall on the roof. I removed the roof, rear glass and windshield so that the truck is driveable. The truck has no mechanical issues at all. Fires right up, cold a/c, no check engine lights. Only damage is to the body. Truck still drives straight and is street legal. Truck has a clean and clear title. Only had liability insurance on it. Left the passenger door in tact as it is still good. Both doors have the windows in them."

The man goes on to state that a new cab will set you back up to $400, while a door costs $150. The rest has to do with labor and painting materials. The man claims the truck is worth $8,000 repaired, so his $3,400 price is legitimate.

We're not quite sure how such a truck would perform in a rollover crash, so perhaps it's best to stick with the funny side of this ad and keep searching.
