Ford Racing Parts has announced the introduction of a new selection of shortblocks available in three different displacements, including 347 (5.7-liter), 363 (6.0-liter) and 427 (7.0-liter) cubic inch.
The new shortblocks feature a SCAT forged steel crankshaft, forged I-beam connecting rods as well as forged Mahle pistons. According to Mustangs Daily, the 347 and 363 cubic inch blocks also fit Fords originally built with 289 and 302 blocks (8.2-inch deck height), while the 427 will fit in just about any Blue Oval vehicle.
Furthermore, the three shortblocks can also be used to underpin a number of Ford Racing Crate Engines, which can be further customized with a wide choice of parts. The shortblocks can be ordered with prices ranging from $,4899 to $5,299
