The Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R has yet to hit the market, but we’d bet a hefty amount of money on the fact that it will be an absolute animal. Then again, a bet requires two sides and we’re struggling to think of someone who would bet against us.
Given the anywhere-anyhow horsepower assault Ford Performance has unleashed, you’d expect these people to play the aggressive game. Well, as it turns out, Ford Performance is actually playing the gentleman card.
The video below is an example as good as any, offering us a good taste of the Mustang Shelby GT350R’s exhaust note. The flat-plane V8 sounds like many shades of apocalypse and yet we’re here to talk about the elegant behavior of the Blue Oval’s new go-fast arm.
For instance, the man revving the hell out of that GT350R is Jamal Hameedi, Ford Performance Chief Engineer, who showed up to the occasion in proper business attire.
He was also kind enough to give that throttle quite a good push, as asked by The Smoking Tire's Matt Farrah. No hesitation there, anything to please the public.
Then there’s the soundtrack itself. The Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R has yet to hit the market, but we’d bet a hefty amount of money on the fact that it will be an absolute animal. Given this, it was all too considerate of Ford Performance to gift the track animal with a voice that would let the other drivers know they’ll be in trouble.
Regardless, you’ll be overwhelmed with elegance once you push the “play” button below. For one thing, this footage is even better than the official GT350 R clip.
UPDATE: We've added a second clip below, showing the difference between the GT350R's exhaust modes. Helmet tip to That Guy.
