Ford Offers Incentives Of Up To 5,000 Pounds in the UK

Because the auto industry is off to a good start in 2010, some automakers are doing everything in their power to attract more clients to their showrooms. The marketing departments have finally some work to do, as people are willing to spend.

In their attempt to get more people to their dealerships, Ford UK announced it offers incredible savings of up to 5,000 pounds. The incentive is valid on the 10 most popular Ford models and is meant to boost sales in the critical plate-change month of March.

If you have no idea what the “plate-change month” is, you should know that in the UK new number plates change every six months to indicate the half year using a zero or a five before the year itself. For example, the first half of 2009 is shown as 09 and the second half as 59. From March 2010 the age identifier will be 10, changing to 60 in September 2010.

Ford's offer is available for eight Zetecs models from Ka to Galaxy, the Ka Studio and the Kuga Titanium. For the lowest price possible, the client needs to place his order before March 31 and to register the car before June 30, as this way it can also take advantage of the government scrappage scheme which ends on March 31.

Nigel Sharp, Ford Britain managing director, said: "Ford is benefitting from its best vehicle line up ever and these lower prices will enable our dealers to seal deals in an intensely competitive market and maintain Ford's clear UK market leadership position. We are determined to provide the best possible value to our customers."
