Arguably one of the best small sporty crossovers on sale, unless you live in North America because it’s not available there, the Ford Puma ST has become the main focus of a new campaign. Don’t go anywhere, because it’s not your run-of-the-mill boring car ad, but an interactive experience aimed at fans of the brand.
In short, the Dearborn automaker is reaching out to its fan base to help them design an upcoming special edition of the 2021 Puma ST. To do so, interested parties will have to check out the company’s official Instagram and Twitter pages, where they will have to choose between a range of features from pre-determined alternatives.

Kind of like the Team Fordzilla P1 Concept from 2020, which came to life in a collaboration between Ford’s designers and the gaming community, but on a much more realistic scale.

Options include the exterior paint finish, decals, brake calipers color, badged or de-badged styling, and seatbelt stitching. And if they have convinced you to give it a try, then you have until June 10 to do so. The winning design will be revealed on June 18, together with the official name of the special edition, which will also be decided by fans.

Subsequently, the car will be built at the Craiova plant in Romania, and will launch later this year.

Unveiled last fall, the 2021 Puma ST is a performance-oriented variant of the regular Puma. It shares some nuts and bolts with the Fiesta ST hot hatch, including the turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine, which develops 200 PS (197 HP / 147 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque. The thrust is directed to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission, enabling a 0-100 kph (0-62 mph) sprint in 6.7 seconds and a 220 kph (137 mph) top speed.
