Could there ever be peace in the muscle war between Mopar fans and Blue Oval aficionados? Of course, this is not a simple question to answer, but the pair of renderings that brought us here takes a shot by choosing the path of humor. To be more precise, we're looking at a mix involving the Dodge Charger Hellcat and the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350.
This shenanigan is all about digital face swaps. It's safe to say that such pixel adventures are now a trend and the one we have here certainly deserves our attention.
For starters, most stunts of the sort involve the front end of a certain vehicle landing on another car (here's a recent example of this). However, the one we have here sees the said muscle toys actually interchanging faces.
Then there's the fact that these mixes appear to be stable, so, for instance, somebody outside the gearhead realm could probably take these slabs of America for real cars.
And we haven't even reached the extra-spicy part of the pixel work. You see, certain muscle car lovers still complain about the numbers of doors on the modern Dodge Charger and the rendering sitting before us comes to... address this matter.
As for the Shelby GT350, there are pony lovers who wish the entire Mustang lineup had kept this pre-revamp front fascia design, so perhaps the Charger Hellcat styling cues are a welcome addition for the said segment of the audience.
In the end, the purpose of such renderings is to put a smile on our face and, at least from where I'm standing, the target has been hit.
PS: In theory, purists shouldn't have to worry about a mere pixel portrait. However, given the ever-expanding ways of the custom car realm, such a rendering might just become a build in the hands of an eccentric gearhead.
