Some people just don’t care about all the dragways spread across the US - these guys like to battle it out on the street and while we don’t condone such activities, we’ve got one interesting bet to show you.
The street race we’re talking about sees a Mustang GT five-point-oh fight a previous generation Subaru Impreza WRX. The racers spiced things up with an US$ 300 pot, just to be sure the determination level reaches the beautiful night sky above their illegal activity.

The Mustang’s Coyote V8 had received full bolt ons - most people consider this includes complete intake and exhaust hardware. Oh and you should also add a pair of drag radials at the back. As for the WRX, its straight four had been gifted with a Dom 1.5 turbo upgrade, a host of supporting mods, as well as the obvious ECU remap.

Even though the figures are not relevant anymore, we’ll mention the stock 1/4 mile values for the two cars. While the Mustang GT 5.0 can pull a quarter mile in the mid twelves, an Impreza WRX needs about one extra second to play the same game.

We can tell you the domestic fighter beat the import, but the question is if this happened before or after the quarter mile mark, with the answer provided below, as a photo finish.
