Have you ever wondered how street racing events take place these days? Well, as it turns out, the major difference made by the new technology, as far as the racers are concerned, means that the sprinters get to shoot their adventures using drones. And we're here to bring you a sample of this.
The street race we have here involves a pair of wild machines, namely an S550-generation Ford Mustang GT and a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. As for the adjective we used, you should know that both machines have been given a thorough aftermarket massage.
And while we're not aware of the exact mods these toys were gifted with, an example delivered by the Evo is enough of a clue - for instance, as you'll get to see in the Instagram video at the bottom of the page, the Mitsu features an extreme turbo and exhaust layout.
The battle we have here reportedly took place in Mexico (then again, nobody likes to admit that such a fight took place on US soil). The two used a human Christmas Tree, with the one serving this purpose turning to his phone's flashlight for the stunt.
And this is where the fun part begins - did both cars take off on time, or did any of the racers cheat? After watching the YouTube video in "slow motion" (think: 0.25x), our answer is negative.

The sprinting battle we're referring to saw plenty of racers duking it out in Canada. The group of illegal sprinters was large enough to split, but both wings that resulted ended up meeting the police. So, did this stop the racers from doing their thing? Not really.
