Car chases in multi-story parking lots are some of the best scenes for car chase movies, with one of the most spectacular scenarios being a jump from a higher story that sends the car flying through the city. But what if something like this happens in real life?
Unfortunately, such a situation occurred in Lugano, Switzerland on Monday, when a 24-year old driver tried to park his Mustang 5.0 GT and somehow managed to smash through the concrete wall of the lot he was in. The vehicle exited the building from a height of about 15 meters (50 feet), subsequently landing on a nearby urban garden.
As you can see in the adjacent image, which was published by Swiss website 20min, the Mustang was heavily damaged. However, it seems that the driver ended up with nothing more than a few bruises.
As for the cause of the accident, police is currently investigating the matter and it is currently believed that the driver mistook the throttle pedal for the brake one.
