You know what they say, there's no rest for the wicked and Ford fits perfectly in this category, especially since the latest rumors claim FoMoCo is working on a facelifted version for the new 'Stang.
We tested the 2015 Ford Mustang and we wouldn't chance a bit of what designers did with the pony car, but in three years' from now, things might take a different turn.

The reason we're making that claim is a recent report published on Autonews that claims the Mustang will receive a mid-career makeover in 2018.

The facelift should include both visual and mechanical updates, with the most important highlights being the addition of a new front grille for the 'Stang, followed by the introduction of a more efficient ten-speed automatic transmission.

According to the same source, Ford will even offer a Mach 1 edition around the same time while the next major update should show up in late 2019 or early 2020.

Needless to say, there's plenty of time until we reach that point, so it's best if we focused on the present right? Or at least the near future, given the fact that the Mustang Shelby GT350 and GT350R hardcore versions are expected to arrive this summer (or what's left of it).

Since we mentioned the GT350 and the GT350R, allow us to add that for the former, you'll have to pay a starting sticker of $47,795 MSRP while the GT350R will remove $61,295 from your pockets.

The price is hot for the GT350R, but it sheds 60 pounds by swapping the aluminum wheels for carbon fiber, while it also dumped the air conditioning system, back seat and the audio setup to make the car as better on the track as possible.

Coming back to more down-to-Earth Stangs, you should also know that for the entry-level 2016 Mustang V6 Fastback with the six-speed manual transmission customers are charged $23,800 while the convertible raises the bar to $29,300.
