As the inventor of the “pony car”, the Ford Mustang has been through a lot of transformations since the 1960s until its current, sixth generation. But one thing will most likely remain symbolic: its muscle car growl. This clock announces the exact hour with a different authentic recording of each model’s signature engine.
You don’t have to be rich to afford 12 separate Ford Mustang models that date back to 1964, because you can simply buy one of these clocks. There will be no driving, or drifting included, but at least you'll get to hear them.

Call it the perfect Christmas present a close friend probably wishes for or just a simple spoil you want to treat yourself with, but if you call yourself a Mustang fan then this is something that will definitely catch your attention.

The 13 inch clock face features 12 legendary models ranging from the inaugural 1964 1/2 convertible coupe to the modern Boss 305. But it’s not just visual with this baby, as the time machine announces the top of the hour not with chimes but with authentic recordings of each model’s signature engine.

We’re talking about authentic, proper growling of iconic motors such as the one that powered the 1968 GT Fastback or the burly sounds of the 1976 Cobra II. And since we’re living in the 21st century, the Engine Growling Mustang Clock is also designed with light sensors that automatically deactivate the sounds when the room is dark.

It feeds through three AA batteries and is priced at $40 at Hammacher Schlemmer’s online shop. We also managed to find a video of the exclusive timepiece to prove that the sounds are as real as possible.

Question is, what time is it?
