When tempers fly high with motorists, they soar. And this is when a volatile situation can turn even more dangerous, taking a turn for the violent.
It happened on a busy road in Oldbury, West Midlands, UK, at the end of last month, in a road rage incident captured on the dashcam of one of the motorists involved. It’s just now getting attention online, after being uploaded to one of the dedicated dashcam portals.

According to the driver who filmed the incident, the whole thing was the other guy’s fault, the Daily Mail reports. The other guy was driving a black Ford Mondeo and, out of the blue (or so says the dashcam driver), he started tailgating him and his pregnant wife.

Granted, there is no reason to take the dude at his word, since the footage doesn’t show what happened before the tailgating. Then again, there’s no reason not to trust him either, so you can decide who and what to believe after you’ve seen the video.

After some serious tailgating, the Ford Mondeo takes over the other car and suddenly brakes in the middle of the road. The driver gets out and is looking for a direct confrontation, so the driver of the car with the dashcam also steps out, looking ready to give him what he’s asking for. That’s when the Ford driver takes out a knife and things threaten to turn real sour, real fast.

A brawl breaks out, which sees the pregnant wife come out of the car as well, together with another motorist, and they manage to get the 2 men to separate. They’re still exchanging words, but they seem to have calmed down enough to see a physical fight would do either no good.

The driver in the car with the dashcam claims that he’s the victim, telling the Mail he “only acted the way he did to protect his heavily pregnant wife from coming to any harm.” He insists the Ford driver picked on him for no reason, so he deserved to have his butt handed back to him, as the saying goes.
