Ford Launches Mustang Customiser with Facebook Battle Mode

Virtual tuning competitions or car configurators are nothing new, but this time the game has been taken to a whole new level, with Ford officially introducing such a feature for the Mustang.
The Blue Oval is introducing the Ford Mustang Customizer, an on-line application that allows you to choose your favorite Mustang, customize it with parts imported from reality and the battle other ‘Stang enthusiasts on the Web.

You can start with any member of the Mustang range, from the entry-level V6 to the terrifying Shelby GT500. Then you can dive into the Ford Racing Performance catalog to upgrade your ride, as well as fit it with body kits and other visual goodies.

The next step is to bring your creation to your Facebook page in order to fight others, with a leaderboard showing you how you’re doing.

The best bit of all this is that, if you have the money, you can have the same car in your garage. You can print a PDF file with all the elements you added to the car and bring it to your local Ford dealership, where the car can be fitted with the parts.

"Customers love to make Mustang their own, one that suits their taste; this is the perfect way to let them test out their design and imagine what's possible," said Jim Owens, Mustang marketing manager. "The interactive aspect also adds a whole new dimension and lets more people get in on the fun."

You can be a part of this by clicking here (we admit we spent some precious working time playing with this).
