The Ford Kuga is not a plucky new car; it's one of the best established small SUVs. The second generation model is now in its last few years of life. However, a significant update has just been made. We are talking about the Vignale treatment, which spruces up the car with all sort of luxury goods.
The Kuga Vignale has been presented as a concept at the Geneva Motor Show over three months ago. However, nothing has changed while switching to production. It has no shortage of sister cars either, such as the Mondeo, S-MAX and Edge Vignale. All these cars attempt to push into the premium market by offering distinct paint finishes and better interiors.

Ford says the Vignale models are hand-finished by “master craftspeople” at the company’s Vignale Center located at the Valencia factory in Spain. Yeah right, just like the AMG engines!

The first production Kuga Vignale is being shown in pearlescent-metallic Vignale Milano Grigio paint. On the inside, we get to see a hexagonal pattern. We don't know why you would call your leather color "Cashmere", but it's an amazing shade of light beige and also features some interesting black accent on the driver side. Just don't wear any jeans!

There's also a piece of gunmetal trim on the dash and white stitching just above it... if that's your thing. All Kuga Vignale models will come standard with an 8-inch SYNC 3 infotainment screen. Numerous safety features have also been installed, because nothing says "luxury" better than not crashing.

As for the engines, they haven't been touched from the recent Kuga facelift. You can either have a 1.5-liter EcoBoost turbo with 150/182 PS, or a 2-liter TDCi rated at 150 or 180 PS. Some models come with manuals, others with AWD and an automatic gearbox, depending on what you like.

Considering most Kugas sold come in the Titanium trim, we suspect the Vignale model should find at least a few customers.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
