Ford Ka Grand Prix Details Released

It's time for Ford's new Ka to put on a more menacing face. Not for the global markets, not in big numbers, but still, a more menacing face. And if you happen to live in the Netherlands, you might even get the chance to see this new face... face to face.

Today Ford announced the introduction of the Ka Grand Prix limited edition on the Dutch market, with the goal set to bring a touch of the motorsport world into the otherwise very cuddly model.

There are a few obvious elements which set the limited edition model apart from its regular production version sister. First of all, we have the single offset racing stripe which runs the length of the car, whose body can be painted in either Sunrise with Chrystal White accents or Chrystal White with Sunrise accents.

16-inch alloy wheels with wide 195/45 R16 tires, large rear spoiler, extra dark Privacy Glass and fog lamps, as well as the contrasting grille and side mirrors make for the visual impact of the racing Ka.

At the interior, Ford decided to go for a bit more luxury, wrapping the steering wheel and the seats in leather and coloring the handbrake grip and gear knob in Surise Grand Prix.

The Ka Grand Prix is equipped with a 1.2l petrol engine with Start/Stop technology and features ABS, airbags for driver and passenger, air conditioning, remote central locking, electric door windows, audio system with CD player, electrically operated and heated door mirrors, a height-adjustable steering wheel and height-adjustable driver's seat.

Ford will only manufacture 120 units of the model and will sell them for EUR10.995 each.
