So, school is out (for now) but when it comes to driving safety, your son or daughter can still learn a thing or two, and we're sure you would like that to happen, right?
In this case, you should know that this first-ever Ford DSFL (Driving Skills For Life) summer tour for teens begins July 7 in Fargo, North Dakota.

In a nutshell, more than 1,500 teens will attend free camps where they will learn safe driving tips such as how to handle a vehicle on slippery pavement or react when an animal crosses their path. You know, the stuff they don't necessarily teach you in driver's education.

“Our program is focused on providing young and inexperienced drivers with the training and tools they need to stay safe behind the wheel,” said Jim Graham, manager, Ford Driving Skills for Life. “We are excited to bring this program to these states for the first time as we look to provide an extra step in the learning process for new drivers.”

According to Ford officials, Ford's DSFL summer tour will focus on hands-on vehicle handling, hazard recognition, speed management, space management and distracted and impaired driving.

Also, Ford is telling us summer is an especially risky time for teen drivers, as more teen driving-related deaths tend to occur in June, July and August than any other month.

So, if you decided to make a big step toward's your teenager's safety, please review the additional details of the tour below:
