In case you missed it, October 21, 2015 (that was two days ago) was the day that Marty McFly’s and Doctor Emmett Brown’s future turned into our present.
If the previous sentence doesn’t make any sense, it probably means you haven’t watched any of the three movies, so continuing reading this would be a waste of time for you. Still, if you want to see some pictures of a Ford GT modified into a time machine, you can scroll down until you hit the image gallery.

This is the work of the guys at OmniAuto.it, who thought it would be a good idea to pay tribute to the legendary movie trilogy by transforming a modern car into a similar concoction to that made by the Doc himself.

And they do pose a good question: if you were a mad scientist with the knowledge of building a time machine today, what car would you choose. In the original film, when asked why did he choose a DeLorean DMC-12, Doc Brown very nonchalantly answers, “Why not use a beautiful car?”

And you can’t argue against the Ford GT based on looks, as the American’s out-of-the-blue supercar looks absolutely stunning. It does lack the mandatory gull-wings, but not that many cars have those right now. And don’t even think about mentioning Tesla Model X with its falcon doors. No, just no. There should be a law saying no time machine is allowed to be based on a porky car.

The OmniAuto.it guys actually did a pretty good job at converting the V6 supercar into a bona fide time machine, including all of the famous DeLorean’s specific elements like the large reactors at the rear, the flux capacitor and the external pipings on the front side panel.

We think the Italians chose rather well (kudos for not going for the obvious co-national choices), but even though we’re two days late, we still gotta ask this: what car would you have chosen?
