As any respectable performance junkie will tell you, Ford is only bringing 1,350 examples of the second-gen GT to the world, with this being a generous figure that includes a 350-unit boost. Even at this level of exclusivity, owners will still want their example to stand out compared to the rest of the GT population and this is how we end up with remarkable specs.
Well, the FGT that brought us here today definitely sticks to the definition above, since in sports a pair of colors that have a profound meaning for motorsport enthusiasts young and old.

You see, most of the real estate is covered in Sunoco Blue, while those yellow stripes adorning the supercar make for the just-as-infamous shade of yellow used by the fuel supplier. For the record, while the company's roots can be traced back to 1886, it entered the motorsport arena in the 1960s.

Now, there are two more finishes that define this twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 monster - take a look inside those wheel arches and you'll notice the carbon fiber rims, which don't do a very good job at concealing the red brake calipers - the grabbers could've also come in Sunoco Yellow, but perhaps that would've been too much for some.

Regardless, you should know this Blue Oval halo car came to our attention via Canepa, a California-based specialist that handles an impressive array of road and racecars, the kind of company you'll find in a collector's diary.

As the label explains on Instagram, this is a customer vehicle, with the company having procured the exact shade of Sunoco Blue.

"We did help with procuring the correct shade of Sunoco Blue for the car, since we have a little experience with formulating the perfect Porsche 917/30 Sunoco Blue," we are being told.
