We’ve seen a lot of sportscar getting crashed lately, including a Lexus LFA and a Ford Mustang, but now we stumbled upon something much more faster: a V8-powered Ford GT!
This dark blue white-striped musclecar was driven into a road sign in El Segundo, California, right in front of the Hot Rod Magazine office, who weren’t able to determine what exactly happened, but did take a few shots on the scene. According to our source, the driver wasn’t hurt, but his expensive sportscar needs a rhinoplasty ASAP.
The Ford GT was built in 2005 and 2006 in 4,038 examples at the Wixom, Michigan plant and it’s powered by a 5.4-liter supercharged modular V8 engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission.
Inspired by the famous Ford GT40 racecar that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans four times in 1960s, the GT can reach 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in only 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 215 mph (346 km/h).
