Ford GT 40 Crashes in Tennessee Due to Rain

I you thought the Corvette crash we talked about earlier was expensive or painful, just wait until you read about this piece of news: on Saturday afternoon, a car that’s reportedly a 1966 Ford GT 40 crashed into the guardrail, suffering severe damage on a road in Tennessee.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says that the heavy rain that fell in the area of the I-26 in Unicoi County where the accident took place played an important part in the crash. The police also explained that the driver was not hurt in the accident. This does make sense, as the GT 40 is one of those cars that you really need to manhandle in order to approach corners fast.

However, this might be a GT 40 replica, since the Highway Patrol claims that the car is worth $150,000, which is a few hundred dollars under the price of a 1966 GT40.
